Dinner Ware

Love these plates, they are disposable and made from leaves so no actual tress were destroyed in the making of them.
For napkins, I am going to cut muslin into squares and roll it around sage silverware and secure it with the ribbon.

Table Tops

Guests spend the majority of there time sitting at the tables, so I want them to be perfect. I want to start with sage table cloths.
For center pieces:
Half the tables will have the tall grass medley in a tall cylinder vase. A sage ribbon tied around the grasses or vase.

The remaining tables will have lily pans with floating candles and flower pedals. These are the same flower pedals that the flower girls will throw and I am also going to sprinkle them onto the tables.

Decorations

Everyone always has white organza or something similar hanging from the sealing and while I want to decorate extensively I want it to be unique, but still breathtaking, a combination of simplicity and elegance while still maintaining an earthy element. So to replace the white every one hangs, I want to use unbleached muslin. I found battery operated hanging lanterns to hang from the ceiling, instead of having twinkle lights.

To put by the edges of the head table I want to have a semblance of magnolia trees in bloom. I am going to attach the flowers to the branches and put them in the pots.

The cake

I fell in love with this cake. I would only want 3 tiers and different flowers.

Ivy

You can't have a wedding without a dress. And I spent hours combing the internet for my dream wedding dress. I had a good idea of what I wanted. I can't tell you how long it took me to find it, but lets just say I went through the entire collection at theknot.com and David's bridal, as well as countless other dress sites with no luck. I decided on a whim to check the bridal shops in the area. I didn't figure I would find anything given I had looked so long and the area bridal shops only carry a small selection of dresses. But, there it was. This was the dress and it took my breath away.

"This stunning one-piece high quality satin gown is a halter A-line design with corset back closure. Halter neckline features a detachable front modesty panel. Lace adorns the bodice. The cut away skirt reveals lace appliques ornamenting the panel insert. A satin empire band wraps to the back of the gown and creates dramatic streamers that cascade toward the hem of the train. Lace appliques accent the back train and streamers."

A History

On November 2nd, 2002 my husband and I got married. A handful of family members witnessed our justice of the peace ceremony, while I wore a homecoming dress. This is not how I imagined my wedding day, alas due to family circumstances my husband and I felt rushed to just get it over with. No one should feel like that and while I can't undo the past, my ten year anniversary is coming up in two years and  we are going to get remarried.

I have dreamed about my wedding like most girls do, but being happily married without one has made my desire for the most perfect wedding all consuming. I want everything to be unique but beautiful. I want people to compare other weddings to mine. Unfortunately I have a limited budget. Luckily I am pretty craft and have a very detailed vision of what I want.

I want everything to be natural and earthy. I have decided on a celadon /sage green paired with khaki and tans. For flowers I want them to either be dried or preserved and I want to stay away from roses for the most part. I guess it is hard to explain the image I have in my mind. But don't worry you will get the idea soon enough.
